OBJECTIVES
At the end of their Grade School Education, the Ignacian Marians are expected to:
- Acquire the basic knowledge and develop the foundation skills, attitudes, and values, including their moral and spiritual dimensions essential to their personal development and necessary for living in and contributing to a developing and changing social milieu;
- Increase their awareness of and responsiveness to the changes in society, prepare them for constructive and effective involvement and intensify their knowledge of, identification with, and love for the nation and the people to which they belong;
- Manifest an awareness that Christ is the center of their lives where faith, hope, and charity abound as they live a life of excellence and service especially to the poor with Mary as the model and Mother Ignacia del Espiritu Santo as inspiration in promoting inner and social transformation (Christian Living);
- Be equipped with the necessary skills to enhance competence and proficiency along the five macro skills of speaking, listening, writing, reading, and viewing across grade levels and nurture a deeper sense of awareness and commitment to ingrain Filipino and Christian values (English);
- Mahubog at malinang ang limang kasanayan sa pakikipagtalastasan: pakikinig, pagsasalita, pagbasa, pagsulat, at panonood nang may sariling disiplina, at binibigyang diin ang mga kahalagahang pangkatauhan tungo sa pagiging mabuting kasapi ng pamilya at pamayanan (Filipino); Pagkatapos ng Baitang 3, ang mga mag-aaral ay inaasahang magamit nang wasto at mabisa ang wikang Tagalog sa pagsasalita at pagsulat sa iba’t ibang sitwasyon at konteksto; at maipakita ang pagpapahalaga sa sariling panitikan at kalinangan (Mother Tongue);
- Acquire functional scientific literacy that will prepare pupils to be informed and participative citizens as they apply basic concepts and principles that will enable them to act as stewards of God’s creation and develop skills, values, and attitudes that will help them make sound decisions regarding scientific knowledge that may have social, health, or environmental impacts; integrate science and technology in civic, personal, social, economic, and ethical aspects of life (Science);
- Manifest a disciplined mind, demonstrating basic computational knowledge, processes, and skills on number sense and measurement, logical and critical thinking and applying acquired concepts with accuracy, precision, and consistency which are essential to practical life situations (Mathematics);
- Nalilinang at nahuhubog ang isang Kristiyanong Pilipinong may pagpapahalaga sa kanyang mga karapatan, naisasabuhay ang positibong saloobin at responsableng nagagampanan ang tungkulin sa pangangalaga sa mga nilikya ng Maykapal; nalilinang at naibabahagi ang kultura at tradisyong Pilipino sa pagbuo ng isang makabagong pamayanan; at napagyayaman ang mapanuri at malikhaing pag-iisip tungo sa mapanagutang bansa at daigdig (Araling Panlipunan);
- Develop knowledge, skills and values in forming self-sufficient pupils who are globally knowledgeable with the changing trends in society, and still aware of their national identity and able to improve self, family and community life through livelihood development, science and technology (EPP); and
- Acquire the needed knowledge, skills and values necessary for artistic expression and cultural literacy, upholding their being Filipinos who are empowered through active involvement and participation to effectively correlate music, art, physical education and art to the development of their own cultural identity, expanding their vision of the world (MAPEH).
