OBJECTIVES
At the end of the Junior High School, the Ignacian Marians are expected to:
- Show refinement in bearing, language, and behavior befitting an educated Christian and cultured Filipino;
- Become holistically developed Filipinos with 21st Century skills on Information, Media and Technology, Learning and Innovation and Communication (Life and Career – K to 12 PBEC Framework);
- Act responsibly by following Christian doctrines, precepts and moral laws, living out Marian virtues by witnessing God’s love, rendering selfless service as exemplified by Mother Ignacia, especially to the poor, as they grow into matured individuals who embrace the demands of Christian faith in search for truth and excellence (Christian Living);
- Develop communicative language competencies focusing on the five macro skills – speaking, listening, writing, reading, and viewing across year levels; enhance higher order thinking skills and imbibe inherent values for lifelong learning to meet national and global standards and challenges without compromising their Filipino identity (English);
- Manifest a disciplined mind, demonstrating basic computational knowledge, process and skills on number sense and measurement, logical and critical thinking and applying acquired concepts with accuracy, precision and consistency which are essential to practical life situations (Mathematics);
- Malinang ang kakayahang komunikatibo at kahusayan sa pag-unawa at pagpapahalagang pampanitikan, napagyayaman ang makrong kasanayan sa pakikinig, pagsasalita, pagbasa, pagsulat at panonood ng may sariling disiplina, at binibigyang diin ang mga kahalagahang pangkatauhan tungo sa pagiging mabuting kasapi ng pamilya, bayan at daigdig (Filipino);
- Nalilinang at nahuhubog ang isang Kristiyanong Pilipinong may matibay na pananalig sa Diyos; napagyayaman ang sariling kakayahan,may malasakit sa kapwa at marubdob na pagmamahal sa bayan na ipinakikita sa pamamagitan ng malalim na pag-unawa sa mga pangunahing kaisipan at napapanahong isyu sa kasaysayan, pambansang pag-unlad at kabuhayan; pagtangkilik sa kultura at tradisyong Filipino, pakikilahok sa mga gawain at tungkulin sa pangangalaga ng kapaligiran, pamayanan, bansa at sa daigdig tungo sa pangkalahatang pag-unlad (Araling Panlipunan);
- Develop awareness and understanding of practical everyday problems as they apply learned scientific concepts, processes, skills and Ignacian Marian values for improving the quality of life, proper use and management of the environment and engage in scientific and allied activities proclaiming the tradition of excellence and life-long learning, and to be technologically adept and productive in a fast changing world (Science);
- Develop work skills, craftsmanship and ethics essential for an enriched education that will prepare students for higher education, world of work and life-long learning; making intelligent choice of vocation/career and acquire specialized training in different fields of Technology and Livelihood Education that require not only new level of technical skills but also a certain mental flexibility, self-motivation, and psychological mobility towards global competitiveness in the 21st century (TLE);
- Promote and nurture students’ aesthetic expression through sounds (music) and visuals (art), mirroring the sentiments and ideas of society and culture, and contributing to the development of individual and collective identity; uphold an active and disciplined lifestyle, anchored on the physical, mental, emotional, social, moral and spiritual dimensions of health (MAPEH).
